Machinery Explore BFS Technology
BFS (Blow-Fill-Seal) technology is a highly advanced manufacturing process utilized in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of sterile liquid products. The BFS process involves three main steps: blow molding, filling, and sealing, which are seamlessly integrated into a single automated system.
Blow Molding Stage
In the blow molding stage, plastic containers, typically made of polyethylene or polypropylene,
are formed from molten plastic through the use of specialized molds. The containers are created in a
sterile environment, ensuring the integrity of the final product.
Filling Stage
After the blow molding, the containers move to the filling stage, where they are precisely filled with the pharmaceutical product. This filling process is conducted in a controlled and aseptic environment to prevent contamination and maintain product quality.
Sealing
Stage
Once the containers are filled, they proceed to the sealing stage. The containers are hermetically sealed, typically by melting the plastic together, creating a secure and tamper-evident closure. The sealed containers effectively protect the contents from external contamination and maintain product sterility throughout their shelf life.
